North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP)

NALCAP is an educational outreach program promoted between the embassy of Spain and the embassies of the USA and Canada. Within this program, American and Canadian university/college graduates partner with local public schools to work as English teaching assistants under the guidance of fellow Spanish teachers.

Applications open in January and stay open until April. The program runs from October to April.

Requirements

  • U.S. or Canadian passport
  • Bachelor’s degree or be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program. Applicants may also have an associate degree or be a community college student in their last semester
  • Idiomatic level of English or French (Canada)
  • Be aged 18 – 60
