TESOL Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s economic engine and 60% of the economy is driven by foreign investment. For this reason, English language instruction is in high demand and ESL schools offer very generous packages. Vietnam is one of the strictest countries in East Asia when it comes to TESOL certification, and an advanced TESOL certificate such as Trinity CertTESOL, TESL Canada, CELTA or equivalent is required. Ontesol’s 250-hour TESOL Diploma is recognized for TESL Canada Professional Standard 2 certification upon completion of a 20-hour Practicum.

Ho Chi Minh City is located on the banks of the Saigon River, 60 kilometers from the South China Sea. Its proximity to the sea makes this wonderful city a paradise for seafood lovers. The lobsters found here are one of a kind and extremely affordable. The city is also famous for its ancient pagodas and various typical markets that sell wooden pieces of art, silk, spices, baskets and various types of ornaments.

Boat on Mekong River

Two travel experiences that you cannot miss while teaching English in Vietnam are visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, a tunnel system used to resist American forces, and taking a boat ride up the Mekong river.
