TESOL Cologne

Founded by the Romans in 38 BC, the city on the Rhine River has acquired a special status for its classic architecture, history and entertainment.

Presently being the fourth-largest city in Germany, Cologne has become the cultural centre of the region during the reconstruction of the post-World War II era. Cologne City Hall, Cologne Cathedral, Holy Trinity Church and Severinstor are some of the most popular sites that tell the story of the renaissance.

Cologne is one of the warmest German cities, with mild winters and balmy summers. It is also one of the trendiest cities for young adults. Cologne has Germany´s highest ratio of bars to people! Nightclubs, pubs and restaurants are found on each corner, offering a rich diversity of tastes and moods. Four German words that you’ll learn quite quickly? Fritten, Hämchen, sauer- kraut, and especially Kölsch!

Germany is the most popular ESL destination in Europe. The economy is stable, teaching jobs pay well, and native speakers from outside the European Union can easily obtain a work permit if they have a university degree and an internationally recognized TESOL certificate.

TESOL Tourism in Italy

Having as many as 44 UNESCO world heritage sites, Italy remains the country with the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

From the ancient Coliseum in Rome to the wondrous Tower of Pisa; Italy has a myriad of architectural laurels. The Valley of Temples, Ancient Pompeii and Foro Romano, are other great sightseeing attractions.

Buildings, monuments and awe-inspiring sights are not the only reasons why Italy stands out. Milan, one of the fashion capitals of the world has astounded people across the globe with its unique fashion trends and flamboyant fashion shows. Some of the best designers in the world, like Gianni Versace and Valentino Garavani, come from Italy.

So, sightseeing is definitely not the only option for you if you’re planning to travel around this ever-so-magnificent-country. Italy is a small country that can be traveled across in a matter of hours. Many activities are expensive, but there is much to do for the TESOL teacher. Although wages are not very high, those who hold an advanced TESOL certificate are able to enjoy the beautiful life.

You could go hiking in the Dolomites or climb up the Alps; admire the culture and heritage of the country in the Vatican museums or eat all you can at Osteria Francescana in Modena, one of the top restaurants in the world; after all, what’s a good visit without food that will get your taste buds flowing. Fancy a swim? Try Lido Beach, you will certainly love it.
