Nevy’s Language

Nevy’s Language is a non-profit, online, social enterprise serving immigrants to North America. We match learners with teachers that can help with one-on-one English lessons over Zoom. The programs we offer include General English, Conversation Practice, Writing, Citizenship English, and K-12. We work with students of all the levels in between Pre-Beginner and Intermediate. Our students are adults mostly between the ages of 30 and 55 who are looking to improve their English skills for daily life, work, and citizenship purposes. We provide all the materials and lesson plans, all you have to do is prepare ahead of the session and teach!

The commitment we ask for is only 4 hours of your time per week over a two-month period. We welcome teachers of all backgrounds and locations. Orientation and training on our materials are provided along with continuous support throughout the two-month period. Since our inception in March 2020, we have connected over 800 teachers with 800 students and over 10,000 hours of learning have taken place.
